Our Founders: Ashley & Heather Holleman
Heather and Ashley served as full-time staff with Cru for 20 years, with Ashley directing Cru’s national graduate student ministry for 7 years. Ashley now serves as Executive Director of Seated and Sent, a ministry he and Heather founded to come alongside churches and ministries to catalyze their efforts to establish believers in their identity in Christ, to develop an outreach culture for their context and to mobilize sent-ones. Heather is an associate teaching professor at Penn State and writer of several books including Sent: Living a Life that Invites Others to Jesus (co-written with Ashley) and The Six Conversations: Pathways to Connecting in an Age of Isolation and Incivility which helps readers connect in loving conversation. As a couple, they love investing in rich and warm friendships with those God has placed in their natural pathways.

Living a sent Life
How can sharing our faith in christ become a joyful adventure with jesus, rather than something we avoid?
Gain a fresh vision for your sent identity; explore ways to build warm connections that naturally lead to gospel conversations; work on your personal stories of spiritual transformation; and learn simple habits to establish your sent life.
Session Examples
What if your neighborhood, workplace, school, and favorite places to spend time, whether the gym or the grocery store, became spaces where you regularly walked with Jesus into people’s lives and saw God use you in powerful ways to help draw them to Himself? It can happen! Learn the mindsets, goals, and vision for living a “sent” life. You’ll leave refreshed and renewed in your vision for connecting others to Jesus.
Join us for a fun, practical, and interactive workshop to learn the 4 mindsets, the 6 conversational pathways, and the 3 fresh goals to begin and continue loving conversations that lead to warm connections. You will leave confident that you will know what to ask and where to go next in any conversation—and you’ll walk away really looking forward to your next meaningful conversation.
Leverage your best skill in evangelism: telling your best microstories of salvation, maturity, and provision. You’ll leave gaining the practical skills to talk about Jesus through your own stories of transformation and encountering God.
Come learn practical ways to take the next steps to live out your sent life. You’ll discover your natural pathways and who God has sent you to, and a simple way to pray for them regularly and specifically. And we’ll share enjoyable (and not overwhelming) ways to form warm connections that open up ongoing spiritual conversations.

Seated, Surrendered, and Sent
What could life look like if God renewed our identity in Christ, helped us live surrendered lives, and refreshed our purpose?
Take your seat at the greatest table with the Greatest King to heal from jealousy, comparison, and exhaustion; know the Lord deeply in a way that encourages you to fully surrender to Him; and join Jesus in a supernatural adventure of being sent into the lives of others with the hope and love of Christ.
Session Examples
Join Heather for a deep dive into Ephesians 2:6 where we learn that God “raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.” Instead of fighting for a seat through appearance, affluence, and achievement, you’ll leave understanding how to adore, access, and abide to live lives of freedom, peace, and joy in Jesus.
Know the Lord deeper in ways and learn the foundational truths that allow you to surrender fully to God and to “offer your body as a living sacrifice” (Romans 12). You’ll leave with a greater understanding of God’s guarding care through key scriptural images and passages, and asking the 4 Hard but Great Questions that position your heart for surrender.
